AI-powered tag suggestions are now included with every Pro plan. When adding or editing a bookmark, let AI suggest tags from the title, URL, and notes — in the web app, bookmarklet, and extensions.

Every week we generate a full export of your bookmarks and keep it safe for you. If you ever lose track of something, archive the wrong link, or just want a snapshot from a few weeks ago, it's there. We keep the last 8 weekly backups, so you always have roughly two months of history to fall back on. Each backup is a standard bookmarks file (the same Netscape HTML format your browser uses), so you can re-import it here or into any other browser or bookmarking tool — no lock-in. This one's part of Pro. Automatic weekly backups run for Pro accounts only, alongside everything else in the plan. If you're on the free plan, you can still export your bookmarks manually any time from Settings — Pro just does it for you. Nothing to set up: if you're a Pro user, your weekly backups show up automatically under Settings → Backups, where you can download any of them whenever you like.

I've replaced the old email-code two-factor authentication with TOTP — the standard used by authenticator apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, and Bitwarden. Setup is quick: scan a QR code once, and from then on you just type the 6-digit code from your app when you sign in. No more waiting around for an email to land. You'll also get a set of one-time backup codes when you turn it on, so you're never locked out if you lose your phone or authenticator app. You can set it up anytime from your account settings.

Every bookmark in your list now has a "Wayback" link next to it. Click it to jump to the Internet Archive's snapshot of the page closest to when you originally saved the bookmark. Handy when a page has gone dark, been rewritten, or paywalled since you bookmarked it — your saved version is usually still out there.

You can now organize your bookmarks into categories. Create and reorder categories using the drag-and-drop organizer in the sidebar, and the uncategorized count is shown alongside your named categories so nothing gets lost.

Importing bookmarks from a browser HTML export could garble special characters such as accented letters. This has been fixed.

Public profile pages were briefly unavailable this morning due to a template error in the tag sidebar. The issue has been fixed and everything is back to normal. Sorry for the disruption.

You can now follow the mymarks changelog via RSS. Point your feed reader at https://mymarks.net/changelog/feed to get notified whenever a new announcement, feature, or bug fix is posted.

We now check your bookmarks every night and flag any that return a 404 with a red #404 tag. Click the tag to filter all your dead links in one place. If a page comes back online, the tag disappears on its own.

Both the Chrome and Firefox extensions now initialize the “Private” checkbox based on the user’s private setting retrieved from the /me API, ensuring the UI reflects the user’s stored profile preference.
