About mymarks
Your bookmarks, your data.
mymarks is a bookmarking service built and operated by ramlev.dk for people who want to save and organise their links without handing their browsing habits over to a third party. It is an alternative to services like Pinboard or Raindrop — focused on simplicity, privacy, and longevity.
Why mymarks?
Most bookmarking tools either shut down unexpectedly, sell your data, or both. mymarks is different: your bookmarks are stored on a server in the EU, subject to GDPR, and never used for advertising or analytics. There is no investor pressure to monetise your reading habits.
What it does
- Save bookmarks with a title, URL, description, and tags
- Keep bookmarks private or share them publicly
- Full-text search across titles, URLs, and notes
- One-click saving via a browser bookmarklet
- RSS feed for your public bookmarks
- Import from Pinboard, Raindrop, or any Netscape HTML / JSON export
- Optional two-factor authentication for your account
Privacy & hosting
mymarks is hosted on servers located in the European Union. It complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or advertising networks. The only data we store is what you explicitly provide when creating an account and saving bookmarks.
Our infrastructure runs on Hetzner, a German hosting provider with a long-standing commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. Their data centres run on renewable energy and have consistently ranked among the most energy-efficient in Europe. Choosing Hetzner is part of keeping this service's footprint small.
